Check if your organization is ready to apply for Green Climate Fund (GCF) funding or if your project idea is suitable for and in alignment with GCF requirements
Is your organization eligible to submit a proposal to GCF? Is your underlying project idea relevant and in line with GCF requirements? Is your project description covering all important areas? Is your organization and your project ready for applying to GCF?
This survey is designed to support Indonesian stakeholders interested in applying for GCF funding. The survey targets stakeholders or organizations that are engaged in identifying potential climate mitigation or adaptation project idea or that are interested in applying for funding to the GCF. Typical stakeholders include project proponents such as national and sub-national government organizations, private sector actors, investors, development organizations, academic entities or other support organizations or stakeholder groups. This survey is designed as a kind of initial self-assessment to help stakeholders better understand key GCF pre-conditions and requirements.
How to use it:
This tool is a self-assessment in form of a questionnaire. There are two separate sections, that can be used independently, depending on what the user is interested in.
- Part 1 – Institutional Capacity/Readiness Assessment:
Survey to find out if or to what extent your organization is prepared and equipped to develop and submit a GCF funding proposal that meets GCF criteria and requirements. - Part 2 – Project-specific eligibility assessment:
Survey to assess a potential project idea on whether it is likely to meet GCF requirements for project funding applications. Please refer to the additional resources in the text boxes if you are unsure how to answer.
The user is encouraged to go through the complete set of questions within the respective part for which the survey is done. Additional resources are provided (e.g. links provided in text boxes across the survey) for accessing further information and recommendations to better understanding potential current readiness gaps and being better able to meet GCF requirements.
How to interpret the results:
Please note that the survey is about an initial readiness assessment. If all questions can be answered with Yes, your organization (Part 1) or project idea (Part 2) are likely to be in line with the GCF requirements. For those questions that you cannot yet answer with Yes, the survey offers further information including links on how to proceed and enhance your institutional readiness or eligibility of your project idea. To ensure a good overview, the results of the survey are clearly summarized after completion and can also be downloaded as a PDF file.
